Hello! Welcome to John Seymour State Farm! I was born and raised in LaGrangeville, NY and currently reside in Pleasant Valley, NY. Dutchess County has always been home, and I am excited to be a State Farm Agent servicing my local community, as well as all of New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania! I am a graduate of Arlington High School, as well as obtaining my associate degree from Dutchess Community College in business administration and management.

My agency will provide a variety of insurance products and services, including Auto Insurance, Homeowners Insurance, Rental Dwelling Insurance, Renters Insurance, Small Business Insurance, Health Insurance, and Life Insurance. My team and I are here to help protect you and your family against the unexpected and keep your assets safe. We are here to answer all of your questions, concerns, and address all of your insurance needs!

Some fun facts about me... I am a huge sports fan and an automotive enthusiast. I am an animal lover and have 2 “fur” babies myself. I have a dog named Magnum, who is 5 years old. I also have a cat, who acts like a dog, named Peaches who is 15 years old. Friendly dogs, and cats, are always welcome in the office and will be greeted with excited, eager faces and treats in hand!

Erik is John Seymour’s office manager, who has lived in LaGrange and Pleasant Valley his entire life. He graduated from Arlington High School, as well as Dutchess Community College’s fire science program and University of New Haven with both a fire science and criminal justice degree. Big time sports fan and also involved in the car scene. Erik has been a member of State Farm agency’s team since 2021 because of his ability to help others, understand their coverages, and ensure they are properly protected for the future. He shares custody of a 4yr old pitbull rescue “Magnum” but loves seeing other people’s pets. He been a State Farm policy holder since 2008, and they’ve treated my family and I well, which is why I am happy to represent the same company that’s been there for me.
